Pakistan and its short history
Pakistan mainly familiar for its turbulent political environment. For many years Pakistan have been under the direct or indirect rule of military junta. Pakistan's history is really unique. Pakistan became as an independent country on 14 August 1947. Then this country had two wings. One part was called West Pakistan and the other was East Pakistan. The distance between this two wings was over thousand miles. This form of state was really rare in the world. There was no similarity between the people of the two parts of Pakistan except religion. But this is not the matter there are many states in the world where different ethnic communities are living side by side for many years. For example in India there are hundreds of different ethnic groups are living and we can certainly tell that India is not a weak state. There are dissatisfaction among the ethnic groups of India and many ethnic groups want independence and self-determination but Indian leaders somehow manage to create unity among the ethnic groups and make them believe in Indian nationalism. Indian democracy helps to create India as a strong country though it has many internal problem. On the contrary the then Pakistani, most of them were from the elite society of West Pakistan, leaders failed to create any kind of national unity. They treated East Pakistan as an internal colony. This was the great mistake of the arrogant West Pakistani leader. They underestimated the power of the Bengali people.
There were no social contact between the people of the East Pakistan and the West Pakistan. As a result there were no interaction between them and probably they did not understand the emotion of each other. This isolation from each other made it inevitable for the two part of the country to be separated. There were disparity in the every sector between East Pakistan and West Pakistan- from economy to military, from education to government job, everywhere. The willpower of the people of the Bangladesh made it possible to be an independent nation state.

when time is static
It seems to me that time is not passing. Summer vacation is going on and going on.......After a long and busy semester I get chance to take breathe freely. But today I sitted idly in the afternoon and thinking about summer vacation.I was questioning my self why is it so long? Immediately my mind answered that no,it is not...ya. summer vacation is not so lengthy. It is only 30 days and you can do many things in these 30 days which you can't do in the whole year. You can watch lots of movie or can go elswhere from this busy city to take freash air. You can read lots of books which you think that you should read in your lifetime. There are lots of things to do and offcourse you can sleep as more as possible which you certainly miss when class is open.
Recently one of my friends are blogging and her style of blogging inspired me to write blog in this way. Now I think that I was very much formal about my blog..............now it is the time to become less formal and share my daily experience.
I started my writing with the sentence that time is not passing but now I think that time is passing and it is passing pleasantly.

ONE UNIT
One Unit:
One-Unit was the title of a scheme launched by the federal government of Pakistan to merge the
four provinces of West Pakistan into one homogenous unit, as a counterbalance against the
numerical domination of the ethnic Bengalis of East Pakistan (now Bangladesh). The One Unit
policy was announced by Prime Minister Chaudhry Muhammad Ali on 22nd November, 1954.
History
The province of West Pakistan was created in 14th October 1955 by the merger of the provinces, states and Tribal Areas of the western wing. The province was composed of twelve divisions and the provincial capital was established at Lahore. The province of East Bengal (now Bangladesh) was renamed East Pakistan with the provincial capital at Dhaka. The federal government moved the country's capital in 1959 from Karachi to Rawalpindi (serving as provisional capital until Islamabad was finished), whilst the federal legislature moved to Dhaka.
West Pakistan formed a seemingly homogeneous block but with marked linguistic and ethnic distinctions and the One Unit policy was regarded as administrative reform which would reduce expenditure and eliminate provincial prejudices. However, with the military coup of 1958, trouble loomed for the province when the office of Chief Minister was abolished and the President took over executive powers for West Pakistan. The province of West Pakistan was dissolved in July 1970 by President General Yahya Khan.
Criticisms
The imposition of one was One Unit was considered an act of repression by many representatives of the three provinces outside Punjab in West Pakistan. The actual author of the plan is alleged to be General and later President Ayub Khan.
